GSU Relay for life is tonight!!! My shift is from 6-9 and I am excited! Around this time last year I lost one of my friends to a rare cancer that eventually spread to her bones & her brain. The tricky thing about cancer is that one day you can be declared cancer free, and then the next day it can come back. This is what happened to my dear friend Amanda but despite it all, she still managed to keep smiling. Although Amanda was a few years younger than me, we were both apart of the varsity girls XC family. She had great faith and trusted that God would take care of her, whatever the outcome of the situation. She said He picked her to get cancer because she was strong enough to handle it. We MUST find a cure for this disease because no one deserves to go through what Amanda had too. Celebrate. Remember. Fight back!
