Evil Pigeon

Those of you who know me are well aware of my run ins with pigeons over the past several years. I hate pigeons...with a passion. They are dirty, eat from trash and have no regard to anyone but themselves. They are ugly selfish birds. Hahaha. Anyways, I had another pigeon encounter yesterday, and to put it plainly, it was AWFUL. I was in M-deck (the parking deck closest to campus) and out of nowhere a pigeon flew down and started pecking at my head. AHHHHHH! I started screaming, of course, but that darn bird would not leave! :( In the end I ended up with a broken headband and the need to wash my hands 100+ times.

Fast forward 5 hours to my Intergroup Dialogue Meeting (*See bottom for description). We always have to break off in pairs and discuss things, but I never really follow the rules about the topics we are supposed to discuss. I instead began to tell my partner Ray about my pigeon experience. According to him, the reason why I always get attacked by pigeons is because I have negative feelings towards them and they can tell. Okay, true i have VERY negative feelings, but I doubt then can tell because those birds are stupid. Regardless, I am going to listen to Ray and try to come up with a few not-so-negative things about pigeons.

Ughhh. Here it goes:
  • Pigeons are used to carry messages in some countries, and some even were awarded honors for being a means of communication during war times.
  • Queen Elizabeth of England has several pet pigeons.
  • Pigeons can see color in the same way that humans do.
That was horribly painful. Here is a pic of a pigeon just in case you live under a rock and don't know what they look like. Actually, since I doubt that's true, I posted the pic so you can see just how evil they really are. They eyes say it all. . .

GROSS. I can not even write about pigeons anymore. Just looking at this picture makes me feel like I am going to catch a disease

*Intergroup Dialogue or IGD: A required event if my sorority wants to achieve 5-star, which is a HUGE deal at Georgia State; it's every Monday in the month of March from 5-8pm; we "dialogue" as opposed to arguing or discussing race; we get free dinner; it is awful: I never understand what's going on; it's prob the only time in my life I will go 3 hrs at a time without talking...yeah. It sucks. At least I met new people!
